Entry Requirements

New students must be five years old by 31st December of the current school year.  Registration usually starts on the Wednesday following Ash Wednesday and continues to the end of the second term.  Parents are required to bring the student with them to register. Registration begins at 1.00p.m. 

Additionally they are required to present the student's new computerized Birth Certificate as well as the updated Immunization Record Card.  Parents may also be asked to present documents showing proof of their address.  Both parents and student are interviewed. 

Eligibility for Admission

In order to be eligible for admission to San Fernando Girls' Anglican School, students must reside within the school's catchment area(3km from the school).  Consideration will be given to students who reside outside the catchment area if they meet any one of the following conditions:

  • Students have siblings attending the school.
  • Parents work within the school's catchment area.

Parent Visits:

 Parents/Guardians are free to visit their child's/ward's teacher or the principal on a Thursday afternoon between the hours of 1.00p.m. and 3.00p.m.  Visits on any other day would be accommodated at the discretion of the principal.  In case of an emergency parents can contact the principal to make an appointment.  Parents/guardians must check with the school's security and the principal before proceeding to the classroom.

 

Early Departure:

Parents/guardians must sign an early department book if they want to take their child/ward away from school during school hours. If parent/guardian is sending someone else to collect the child, that person must produce written permission signed by the parent/guardian and must present a valid form of identification. 

School Hours:

School Starts at 8.30a.m.

All students are required to participate in morning assembly. This last for approximately fifteen minutes.

Infant Students (First Year and Second Year) are dismissed at 2.30p.m.

Older Students (Standard One to Standard Five) are dismissed at 3.00p.m
